WEEK NINE

GoLakeview Week Number Nine

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  The temperature was perfect, and everything was so GREEN again after some rain.  Do you feel like the summer is flying by?  It seems like we are kids again, getting ready to go back to school, only this time there is only one subject (the EHR) looming ahead.  And also, lucky for us, we get to help each other with our studying and homework, and there aren't any tests!

Well, that is not exactly true, since this week there is a quiz about our doctors, sponsored by the Amy and the Lab team.  (Since Amy and I are the only ones who have the answers, We expect to make some new friends this week.  Just kidding...)  And on Friday there will be Pizza for everyone at Lakeview!

Some of you have played this game as a social ice breaker, in order to get to know others in a group.  It is called Two Truths and a Lie.  This week we will be finding the lies from some of our doctors.  For each doctor, decide which statement is a lie, A, B, or C.  Gather your team's answers together and submit one answer sheet per team.  Give or fax your answers to Amy in the Waconia Lab, and she will grade your test.   Answer sheets are due by noon on Thursday, and the Treat Tub will go to the winning team on Friday.

Week Ten Winner

We have another winner!
This week it was a real contest, coordinated and judged by Jodi, Norwood Team Leader.  It was hard for her to choose, since all the photos were good in their own way (just like our children).  After some deliberation, the TUB goes to WEST STATION this week.  Not only did they find a pretty messy desk, but they found a really clean one, too.  WEST STATION Team says the messy desk represents "before" the EHR and the clean desk is the "after".  Everyone loves before and after photos!

Runner up goes to Medical Records. No surprise they would have the most mess.
Notice how the charts extend into the back of the second photo.  Nice perspective!

There were many other high quality photos from around the clinic.  Here are a few.

This next, nicely composed, photo is actually NOT messy.  Those of us who like our stacks straightened love this photo!

And lastly, Radiology must have had something unusual in their Treat Tub to come up with their hilarious photo!  No charts, but quite artistic, and definitely MESSY!

Stay tuned for next week's fun activity...

Team Radiology wins the Treat Tub

Nice photo by Trish of the winners from week Eleven.

Week Ten Challenge

It is not too late to get your photos in to Jodie for the messy chart zone challenge. The winner will be selected Thursday and the Treat Tub will arrive at the winning station on Friday.  Let's see what we will be missing (in terms of clutter) after going to the EHR (the abbreviation EMR is fine to use, too).

Feel free to add (positive) comments to the blog and have a great weekend!

WEEK TEN

GoLakeview WEEK TEN

What a success for WEEK ELEVEN!  The blog has had over 225 views!  Our teams had fun with the movie quotes, and we celebrated a win for Radiology.  Thanks to Trish for the goal of full participation, communication and fun, rather than who gets the most answers right.

Also, the "Think Positive" team is proving how easy it is to communicate by email, blog and phone, continuing the "Think Positive" goal of no meetings!  Team leaders are stepping up with great ideas for the coming weeks. and ideas are always welcome from all of you!  We are working on an on line way to take your suggestions...for now you can email hill.bonnie@mac.com.

Please check out our WEEK TEN green signs posted throughout the clinic for updates regarding the EHR progress.  This week there are details about our Notebook computers.

Tub of TREATS

Just thought you would like to see what the winner of this week's contest will get delivered to their site, or area of the clinic.  There is a mix of healthy (and a few less healthy) snacks in the bucket, which will be delivered by the courier.

There will be some weeks our fun activity will be a contest and the Tub of Treats will reappear.  Other weeks the activity will be just for fun, without the bucket. Stay tuned to the blog and you will know what we are up to every week, until the last week of September.  GoLakeview!
